DIY Valentine's Day Treats! (Easy gift ideas)

Hey!
Valentine's day is in less than 2 weeks and I have a completely different post for today. I'm going to be doing Valentine's day treat recipes! Some of them I came up with on my own but I got the ideas for most of them from Pinterest. These would be great as party food or even gifts to give to friends and family! As you can see, most of them are pink, which I think makes them look so cute and perfect for the occasion. I've tried all of these myself, and I love each recipe! I hope you try them out and enjoy!
Recipe 1: Strawberry Banana Smoothie
This is the healthiest of all of them, but it's pink so it still fits for Valentine's!
There are many variations on this that you could do but this one is my favorite!
Serves: 1
Time: 5 min
Half of a banana (I prefer them ripe!)
3-5 frozen strawberries
A few frozen blueberries (optional)
2-3 tbsp. yogurt
1 tsp. honey
1/2 cup juice
1/2 milk
Blend all ingredients in a blender and enjoy.
Recipe 2: "Pink" Chocolate Chip Cookies
The reason I put pink in quotation marks was because mine didn't really turn out pink. I made the mistake of adding red food coloring hoping it would turn pink and it didn't. I would definitely use pink color next time but they still taste great!
There's no real recipe here, just make your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe, and before you add the chocolate chips, add a few drops of pink food coloring. You could even try green for St. Patrick's day!

Recipe 3: Mini Cake Cubes
I actually thought of this recipe myself! They're super delicious and really easy!
Frozen Pound cake (I used store-bought)
Enough icing for about 20-30 cake cubes
Time: 10-15 min.
1 cup powdered sugar
3-5 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tbsp. butter
Pink food coloring
A few drops of strawberry flavoring (optional)
Melt butter in medium sized bowl.
Add the icing sugar, vanilla, and strawberry flavoring. Stir well with whisk.
Gradually add milk while mixing well until you reach desired consistency.
Add food coloring and mix.
Remove pound cake from freezer and cut into bite-sized cubes.
Drizzle the glaze over the cake or dip the cubes. I used toothpicks and it made it a lot easier. have fun with it!
These are great for a party.

 Recipe 4: Dipped Marshmallows
Time: 5-10 min.
Large Marshmallows
Pink & White candy melts or white chocolate
Sprinkles
Melt the candy melts on low power in 30 second intervals in the microwave until smooth.
I mixed pink and white to get a lighter color
Dip the marshmallows in the melted candy melts and immediatly add sprinkles before it hardens.
Let sit until hard. You could also put them in the fridge or freezer to speed up the process.
Enjoy!
Recipe 5: Dipped Oreos
These are very similar to the dipped marshmallows but I prefer these!
Time: 5-10 min.
Oreos (any kind)
Pink & White candy melts
Sprinkles
The process is the same, just melt the candy melts on low power in 30 second intervals then dip the Oreos in the creamy chocolate and add sprinkles! They're super easy, and they look so cute!

Recipe 6: Red Velvet Milkshake
Does that not scream Valentine's day? This is one of my favorites! It tastes exactly like cake batter.
Serves: 1
Time: About 5 min
1 cup Vanilla ice cream
3 tbsp. Red Velvet cake mix
 1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Add all ingredients to blender and blend!
Top with whipped cream and more sprinkles!

Recipe 7: Eggs in a Basket
Here's a super easy (and healthy!) breakfast idea!
Serves: 1
Time: Less than 10 min.
1 egg
1 slice of whole wheat bread
Butter or Margarine
Heart shaped cookie cutter
Cut out the center of the bread with the cookie cutter and save the middle. Butter all sides of bread including the heart shaped center.
Place the bread "border" onto a non-stick frying pan at medium-high heat. Flip when golden brown and crack the egg in the center. Flip again when the egg begins to turn white.
Cook the egg all the way through and remove
Placer the heart shaped center on the heated pan and flip when golden brown, this part should take less than a minute. You're done!

Recipe 8: Pink & White Hot Chocolate!
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
1/3 cup white chocolate chopped or white chocolate chips
Red or Pink food coloring
Whipped cream
Heat milk in microwave for about 1 minute.
Melt chocolate until smooth.
Add melted chocolate, Vanilla, and food coloring to milk and stir.
Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
You could also add 1 tbsp. of red velvet cake mix to make red velvet hot chocolate!
I couldn't find a glass mug to use, so sorry for using an ordinary glass!

GIFTS!
To gift, just package the treats up in a cute, Valentine's themed bag or package!
That's all for my DIY Valentine's Day Treats!
Thanks for reading, bye!
